If you're interested in the standard Sonos Wi-Fi speakers, you can jump straight to more about them by clicking here. The Era 100 replaces the Sonos One and One SL and brings Bluetooth capabilities, while the Era 300 sits below the larger Sonos Five, but offers a few extra tricks like Dolby Atmos and spatial audio support.

The non-portable speakers within the Sonos line up include the Sonos Era 100, Era 300 and the Sonos Five. The Symfonisk Table Lamp Speaker is more expensive, as is the Symfonisk Picture Frame Speaker, but they both offer good sound and functional designs. The Symfonisk Wi-Fi Book Shelf Speaker is the cheapest way to start a Sonos system, offering a decent sound for the price and size. The Sonos Ikea Symfonisk speakers are controlled via the Sonos app but they have dual functions in that the Book Shelf speaker can be a bookshelf too, as well as positioned vertically or horizontally, the Symfonisk Table Lamp Speaker is a lamp as well as a speaker and the Picture Frame is a piece of art and a speaker. There is the Symfonisk Wi-Fi Book Shelf Speaker, the Symfonisk Table Lamp Speaker and the Symfonisk Picture Frame Speaker too.Īll offer all the same features as many of the other Sonos speakers, including Trueplay tuning, multi-room audio, compatibility with over 100 music services, the ability to stereo pair two of the same and voice control via an Alexa or Google Assistant-enabled device. Because of its size (and its slightly less water-resistant design), the Move is a great option for somebody who wants a Sonos speaker that they can take from room to room in their house.Sonos and Ikea teamed up together to offer the Symfonisk range of speakers, of which there are a few options.
Sonos roam v move update#
It has pretty much all the same features as the Roam - Sonos has brought newer features, such as Auto Trueplay and support for Sonos Voice Control, to the Move via a software update since its original release years ago - but it comes in a larger package.
Sonos roam v move portable#
The Move is Sonos's original portable speaker that has since been antiquated by the Move 2 - although you can still buy the Move while supplies last.

The two main downsides with the Move 2 are that it's $50 more expensive and it doesn't support Google Assistant. Plus the Move 2 has a more refined look and new controls (similar to Sonos's newer Era speakers), and it comes in new olive finish as well as the tradition white or black. You can supports reverse charging meaning that you can use its USB-C port and a USB-C cable to charge other devices - like your smartphone. It supports USB-C line-in so that, when used with Sonos's special adapter, you can connect the Move 2 directly to an analog source such as a turntable or CD player. It has an extra tweeter and can play true stereo sound (instead of just mono).

It's pretty much the same size and works very similarly, but the Move 2 has been upgraded in several key ways. The Move 2 is a new and improved version of Sonos's 2019-released Move.
